Church Reorder

During 2013 it became apparent that the heating pipes in the main aisle were starting to leak. We began a fund raising campaign to replace the heating pipes. At the same time it was apparent that we needed more space to enable us to extend our mission in church and to provide a more suitable space for our expanding children's corner.

We set up a project team to look at the changes that were required and to set about fund-raising. The parish responded and we raised over £10000 towards the cost which together with generous grants from LCC and The Fellowship of St John enabled us to start work in January 2014.

The four week project involved removing pews fro the south aisle and lowering the floor to enable access for all at a safe flat level. We altered the pew arrangement at the rear of church , by the font, to provided a new baptistery area.

At the same time we installed computer network and IT facilities so that we can engage in the latest methods of communication. We hope that this website is an example of that.

The church was cleaned; ceiling walls and floor by outside contractors and then the worn carpet was replaced.

We hope that visitors and regulars will appreciate the new space created and see how it will help the mission of the church and wider community.
